Join the Valparaiso Creative Council for the Art + Innovation IV reception where they’ll celebrate three local artists and host VCC’s Annual Stakeholder Meeting to celebrate all they’ve accomplished in 2024 and what is in store for 2025!
Art Prize celebrates their 15th Anniversary in 2024! This amazing art festival is set in the heart of Downtown Grand Rapids and features artists from all over the world. Guests will enjoy a hearty sit-down lunch at Hopcat combined with walking and bus tours of various art installations throughout the city.

This event will kick-off at Roots Cafe with a meet and greet of artists, bites to eat, musical performance by Joe Villani, and an infusion of originality that only creators can get away with. It’ll then meander to Lower Lincoln where creativity takes center stage! One of the featured artists’, Eurnice Harris, will unveil her finished “Sip + Social Speakeasy” painting, drinks will be poured, community members will mingle, and Melissa Marshall will turn on the LIGHT of innovation. She will share the tips + tricks all entrepreneurs need to know regarding social media! Join us in this inventive networking event where ART takes the floor, grabs the mic, and gets down to business in Valpo.

Thanks to incredible community support, and large donors such as The City of Valpo, Alison + Jeff Quackenbush MD., Porter County community Foundation, and the Dame + Mary Louise Foundation, we were able to raise the funding needed to donate a sculpture for Flounder + Friends Skatepark.

This art show is being curated and hosted by a Valparaiso University junior art student for her independent study and will feature the works of 3 fellow VU students.
This is a quarterly artist reception for artists displayed at Roots Cafe and Lower Lincoln. Each quarter VCC is inviting our community to celebrate the works of three local artists, heat their personal stories/creative process, and learn from innovative professionals. This mix + mingle is meant to bring innovative sharing to the forefront for all!

The exhibition is free to attend and will be on display from November 29, 2023, through March 5, 2024. The public is invited to an opening reception on Thursday, January 11 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm with light bites and refreshments.
Let's gather and study the exciting medium of watercolor together! Angela Czepinski is a fine art artist and teacher. She has been teaching different art mediums to ages 5 thru adult for over 25 years, but her love is with watercolor.

Suites, the Das’ Gallery boasts an ideal space for promoting student artwork. Currently, the gallery is displaying pieces created by five Valparaiso University undergraduates. Ashley Vernon, senior Art major and curator of the exhibit, sought to create an experience exploring the theme Be for Real: An Exploration of Reality. Together with the artists, she crafted an exhibit examining the realities of life, death, and nature. The public is welcome to visit the gallery August 21st through Thanksgiving Day. An official reception celebrating the artists and their work will be held at the Das’ Gallery, Thursday, September 28th, 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.

Please come and enjoy the new lobby exhibit featuring Matt Berg’s art. Berg's narrative paintings tell stories of an idyllic childhood at the lake surrounded by the presence of loved ones, companionship, and nature. Using a variety of surface textures, Berg aims to visually convey the delicate and delightful nature of memories of family gatherings and endless summers.
