The Friends of Fishing Club and Valpo Parks once again team up to host the 12th annual Take-A-Kid Fishing derby. This event is completely free for the entire family.
Enjoy caroling, photos with Santa, treats, and the lighting of the Central Park Plaza Christmas tree (lighting takes place at 6:00 pm).
After the festivities, guests are encouraged to enjoy dinner at a downtown restaurant. Present a receipt from a downtown business at the ice rink from 7 - 10 pm for a special of $10 admission and skate rental to support Small Business Saturday.
Registration is open! Register today for our ice skating lessons at Central Park Plaza Ice Rink. We offer Tots classes for ages 3 to 5 and Beginners classes for ages 6 to 17 to help young skaters feel comfortable on the ice.

Ahead of Earth Day, join us to take some nature indoors by creating a special dragonfly made out of maple tree samaras, better known by most as "helicopters!" Class includes all materials plus snacks. *Class may run over on time depending on size and pace of group.

Patrons may shop vendor booths of gently used infant, toddler and children apparel, toys, furniture, and more! Cash only for admission. Individual vendors will accept cash, and some may accept electronic payment. We encourage bringing a shopping bag for your purchases.
Picking up your Popcorn Panic race packet at Butterfield Pavilion? While you're there, have your kids pop on over to the Fairgrounds Park walking track for this one lap fun run the night before Popcorn Fest. Participants will run 3/4 mile and receive a t-shirt.
STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and mathematics and refers to any subjects that fall under these four disciplines. This 4-week program will introduce your child to areas such as biology, chemistry, computer science and more! *Sign up for both STEM and Art and save $20!
