Spring into action during the month of March and support a local non-profit with Valpo Parks! Our office will be taking donations to help support a Valparaiso organization in their journey to help families and children in the area.

Bring the family (or your inner child!) to capture a special moment with jolly Old Saint Nick this holiday season and enjoy a complimentary hot cocoa and cookie bar provided by Memorial Opera House!

Kids can join in the Popcorn Festival fun with this unique kid-friendly race in Downtown Valparaiso.  Kids run this 100- 300 yard event; distance varies by age group.  Everyone receives a t-shirt and participation ribbon.

Pop on over to the Fairgrounds Park walking track for this one lap fun run the night before Popcorn Fest.  Participants will run 3/4 mile and receive a t-shirt.

See demonstrations of kid-centric activities and even register on-site for youth sports, lessons, camps, clinics and more.

Valpo Parks and Glamour Hair Design Salon have teamed up to provide a class where kids can learn classic and trendy hairstyles to use on themselves or their friends. Join us as we experiment and learn the skill of hairstyling.

Your little ones will delight at the chance to meet their favorite princesses at Valpo Parks newest event:  the Royal Tea Party!  Children are encouraged to wear their best royal attire alongside their favorite fairytale characters! 

Enjoy caroling, figure skating performances, photos with Santa, complimentary hot cocoa & cookies, and the lighting of the Central Park Plaza Christmas tree. 
The ice rink will have a special of $10 admission and skate rental with the receipt from a downtown business to support Small Business Saturday from 7 - 10 pm.

Join us for our 2nd year at Rogers Lakewood for a day full of Halloween-themed, family fun.  After the 2K walk/run and the Dog Walk, families can enjoy hayrides, s'mores by the fire, music, food, crafts, and more!

Valparaiso University and Porter County Public Library invite you to join us at the inaugural Dunes Lit Fest! This community event will celebrate reading, writing, and creativity by highlighting national award winning and local children’s authors on our main stage. Families of all ages are welcome!

Spring into the Arts is a month-long festival for the ENTIRE community, brought to you by Valparaiso Community Schools, in partnership with Valparaiso Creative Council.  It is a concept organized and orchestrated by VCS art teachers who firmly believe that students deserve meaningful experiences. Our festival enables students to showcase personal creativity in public venues throughout downtown.
