Valparaiso Wine Festival Food Vendor



Valparaiso Events is currently accepting proposals for food vendors to participate in the Valparaiso Wine Festival, located at Central Park Plaza in Downtown Valparaiso on Saturday, July 15, 2017. Event attendance will be approximately 1,000.

We are looking for one (1) food vendor that will create the perfect light menu for the 1,000 attendees at our wine tasting event. Event times are 4:00pm to 6:30 pm. We would like to offer all of our attendees (1) food item that is included in their ticket. This item would be easy to carry, pair well with wine and can be something similar to a snack plate of cheese, crackers, and fruit. You will be reimbursed for the number of plates given. You will also have the option to sell other items ala carte. Food vendor must also have soda and water available for purchase.

To be considered, please submit your menu options. We ask that you list up to seven (7) items on your application, and we will select 4 of these items to include in the sampling menu.

We will provide you with the serving boxes/boats. Vendor is responsible for all other needed supplies.

Proposals are due no later than Friday, April 14, 2017.

Along with your payment, you must include a copy of your certificate of insurance naming both Valparaiso Events and City of Valparaiso as additionally insured.

Food vendors will be set up under the William E. Urschel Pavilion in Central Park Plaza. Vendor must be able to be setup AND ready to sell items no later than 3:45 p.m. Vendor needs to have enough products to last through 6:30 p.m. Early break down will not be allowed.

Only food items that are accepted in the proposal are allowed to be sold. Other food items for sale on the day of the event that were not included in original proposal will not be allowed. If you want to substitute an item you must get approval from Valparaiso Events first.

Vendor is responsible for all needed supplies.

If you are working with hot oil and/or grease, you must lay cardboard under your work space to keep cooking area grease free. In the event that additional cleaning is required, you will be charged $100.

Smoking is not permitted in the food area.

Spaces are 10×10 with the use of the sidewalk behind your space. Two (2) 8ft covered tables will be provided for you. If you need more, you must bring your own. Tents are optional.

Electricity is available; however, you may need to bring extension cords based on location.

Vendor must follow all health department rules and regulations and obtain all necessary permits.
