Your Guide To The Valparaiso Market Grand Opening

It’s been a long time coming, and after 8 months, one of our favorite events of the year is coming back! The Valparaiso Market kicks off Saturday, June 4, and we’re pulling out all the stops to celebrate the Grand Opening of its 2016 season. What will you see? What kind of festivities do we have planned for you? Here’s a look:

The Valparaiso Market comes your way every Tuesday and Saturday, starting June 4, and runs through October 15 at Central Park Plaza. For this season, we have new hours! The Market will start at 8:00 a.m., and will go until 2:00 p.m. both days.

A Market is nothing without its vendors. This season, we will be featuring many of the merchants you’ve come to know and love, as well as a ton of new ones to peruse. Whether you’re into fresh produce, baked goods, handmade crafts and gifts, plants and flowers, or maybe you just want to try something new, this Market has something for everybody.

As you’re perusing the various vendors and booths set up throughout town, you may notice a sign mentioning “Producer Only.”

What does it mean? Here to explain is local farmer and Valparaiso Market vendor, Damien Appel of Native Root Farms to explain. Click here for Producer Only.

For your convenience, we will have FREE Valparaiso Market tote bags available. Make sure to stop by the Valparaiso Events booth to pick one up [Limit one per person while supplies last.]

Let us entertain you while you shop! Each Tuesday and Saturday, we will feature live performances from June 4 through August 30 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. For the Grand Opening, we will welcome the talented Angelo Cicco to the stage. Learn all about him here.

The Valparaiso Market comes your way every Tuesday and Saturday from 8am-2pm at 63 Lafayette Street in Central Park Plaza right in downtown Valparaiso. For more information, click here.
