“Fall” into fun with the annual Fall Harvest Festival Get ready for two days of costumes, tricks, treats, spooks, and more with the Fall Harvest Festival!

Friday, October 20; 4 PM to 6 PM

Trick or Treat in Downtown Valparaiso! Dress up in your spookiest or silliest costume and go door-to-door all throughout Downtown Valparaiso to get some tasty treats from our various restaurants and retailers and other organizations.  Visit Central Park Plaza and stroll throughout downtown for treats and fun. Free Hayrides will be provided by the Valparaiso Parks Department.

Saturday, October 21; 11 AM to 2 PM

The fun doesn’t stop on Friday!  Fall Harvest festivities continue in Central Park Plaza on Saturday, October 21 from 11am-2pm.

  • Free Face Painting by the VHS Art Club
  • Free Pumpkin Painting with the VHS Vikettes. Pumpkins donated by Century 21 Affiliated. (While supplies last.)
  • Free Caramel Apples with the VHS Vikettes. (While supplies last)
  • Giant Inflatable Pumpkin Jump –  jump and bounce the day away!
  • Grab an instrument and join in on the music with Leonardo “The One Man Band.”
  • Pooch Parade & Costume Contest hosted by Lakeshore Paws. (11am-12pm – details below)
  • Shop the Valparaiso Market (8am-2pm)

Our very own Valparaiso Market will be celebrating the last day of the season on Saturday, October 21 as well! Our market will be open from 8am-2pm with vendors getting in on the fall fun! “Trick-or-Treat” at our vendor booths while you shop for pumpkins, gourds, mums, fall wreaths, decor & more!



Lakeshore Paws is hosting it’s Pooch Parade and Costume Contest during Fall Harvest Festival again this year!

Dress up your pup (and yourself!) in the scariest, silliest, or most creative costume you can find and join us on Saturday, October 21 from 11am-12pm in Central Park Plaza for some pre-Halloween fun!
