Valparaiso Events is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating a thriving and vibrant community through the creation and promotion of numerous festivals and events, and none of what we do is possible without Membership support. The individuals, the families, the businesses, and everyone else in between are what make us who we are. So what is a Membership? How can you contribute to the organization? How do you become a Member? Let’s take a look…
Valparaiso Events hosts over 80 days of events in the downtown area each year, and 95% of them are FREE for everyone in the community to enjoy. Whether you’re a beer or wine connoisseur, a lover of movies or music, or you’re looking for seasonal fun for the whole family to enjoy, there’s something for everyone.
But a great community doesn’t just happen overnight. It takes a vision with focus, a plan backed by strategic thinking, and the dedication of our dynamic community leaders to make it all possible. This is where our members come in. With their help, we are able to grow our currently lineup of events each year and continue to add new ones.
We’ve received many questions about what a Valparaiso Events Membership will get you. Are there any benefits? Where does the money go? How can I become one? We’ve put together this FAQ to provide you with some answers:
What is a Valparaiso Events Member?: These are the individuals and businesses who contribute to Valparaiso Events. With their support, we are able to continue our mission of bringing the community together and celebrating the city and the people we love.
What different levels do you have?: There are 3 different membership levels we offer:
- Community: Support what you love with any amount that you’d like. Simply print out our application and mail it back to us. For being a contributor, your name will be listed on our website.
- Individual/Family: ($100) Become an Individual Member. Support your community and see your name listed on our website.
- Business: Support the community and market your business ($350). Your logo and link will be added to our website. In addition, you will receive exclusive benefits: access to our Event Calendar to post your own community events, and access to our website to submit special offers to the community.
Where does my money go?: Your money goes towards helping to fund our various events. With your contributions, we can not only continue and grow our current slate of events, but also add new ones throughout the year. About 95% of our events are FREE to the public. Your contributions help continue making that possible.
